That said, I'd be lying if there wasn't a bit of a WFRP influence in the general style too; the White Dwarf Marienburg articles have been close at hand during the design process.thekelvingreenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01928260185408072124noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-232794383425434281.post-85235991957556881312012-09-24T15:42:37.176+01:002012-09-24T15:42:37.176+01:00I really like the scritchy-scratchy, slightly cart...I really like the scritchy-scratchy, slightly cartoonish art. helps bring it to life. :)Jarrahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16367493507081661713noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-232794383425434281.post-90163904840478851822012-09-24T15:27:15.556+01:002012-09-24T15:27:15.556+01:00Looks great, I'm psyched to see more!Looks great, I'm psyched to see more!Crawenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09311158169488921312noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-232794383425434281.post-45867634352545527922012-09-24T11:04:07.006+01:002012-09-24T11:04:07.006+01:00I like your crisp black and white floorplans, deta...I like your crisp black and white floorplans, detail level is just right as purely decorative flourish like floorboards does not detract of the clarity and does not make things look cluttered.Jonashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11838302056850766272noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-232794383425434281.post-49129817051948274692012-09-24T10:59:00.173+01:002012-09-24T10:59:00.173+01:00Style-wise it reminds me of WFRP adventures. I really like the way the maps are detailed enough (showing furniture and so on) that you don't need to use text to describe that stuff.

Maybe it's just the small size of the scans, but I do feel that the lines for the internal walls could be thicker -- I didn't notice them until the text for the 1st floor differentiated between them.Gavin Normanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12362875699031245377noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-232794383425434281.post-82926611018843091862012-09-24T00:54:22.060+01:002012-09-24T00:54:22.060+01:00Thanks James! It's more of a proof-of-concept than a final page design -- I don't have any sort of design training, unless you count an "E" at GCSE -- but yes, I put it together myself.

Truth be told, it's a scan of a page from my Moleskine, with the handwritten text replaced with a digital font in Gimp.thekelvingreenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01928260185408072124noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-232794383425434281.post-33191186184757125462012-09-24T00:32:42.926+01:002012-09-24T00:32:42.926+01:00That's a really nice layout. I expect it to look better once a more appropriate typeface is chosen and someone who knows something about layout -- I think Jez Gordon will be doing that part -- has tidied it up.thekelvingreenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01928260185408072124noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-232794383425434281.post-59457741724808881402012-09-24T00:14:22.411+01:002012-09-24T00:14:22.411+01:00Very nice indeed :)Very nice indeed :)Tenkarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05159289652051155824noreply@blogger.com
